I've been using Hydrocortisone Ointment 0.1% for the past few weeks to treat some persistent eczema flare-ups. It's been really effective in reducing the redness and itching, but I've been a bit worried about the potential side effects. Has anyone else had any issues with this ointment? I'm particularly concerned about the more serious side effects like changes in eyesight or signs of a weak adrenal gland. How common are these, and what should I be looking out for? Also, does anyone know if it's safe to use this ointment long-term? Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I've had really good results with it, but I did notice some thinning of the skin after a while. It's worth mentioning to your doctor if you plan on using it long-term.

I think it's important to mention that you should avoid using it on your face or near your eyes. The side effects can be pretty nasty if you do.

I've never had any side effects, but I always make sure to wash my hands thoroughly after applying it. Just in case, you know?

Just be careful with this stuff. It's great for short-term use, but overuse can lead to some serious problems.

I had a really bad reaction to it. My skin got super dry and started peeling. I had to stop using it immediately.

I've used it for years and haven't had any major issues. Just make sure to follow the instructions and don't overuse it. It's great for short-term relief but can cause problems if used too much.

I've heard that using it in combination with a moisturizer can help reduce some of the drying effects. Might be worth a shot if you're having issues.

Seriously, if you're worried about side effects, talk to a dermatologist. They can give you a better idea of what to expect and how to manage any issues.
