I was prescribed Hydrophor Ointment 454gm for my severely cracked and irritated skin, and I've found it to be quite effective. It creates a protective barrier that locks in moisture, which has significantly helped with the healing process. However, I must share some important warnings about potential side effects. If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, skin infection, or abnormal bleeding, seek immediate medical attention. I've also read that some people have experienced skin irritation, though it's not as severe. I'd love to hear from others who have used this or something similar.

This thread is making me think about switching to Hydrophor. I've been using some other cream but it feels like it just isn't doing enough. I'm curious if anyone else has compared it to other brands? I'm hoping for something that will finally work on my severely dry skin. Fingers crossed!

This stuff is a lifesaver for me. I had really bad eczema flare-ups, and nothing seemed to help until I tried Hydrophor. It's been a game-changer, but I had to make sure to keep an eye out for any signs of infection. I've used it for months and haven't had any major issues. You should really make sure to get a doctor's opinion before using this.

I've noticed my skin feels more hydrated with Hydrophor, but I don't like that it can stain clothes. I wish they made a version that didn't leave marks on fabric! Other than that, it's been great so far, but you do need to be careful as it can be a bit messy and a tiny amount goes a long way.

I’ve used this ointment for a few months now and it’s worked wonders for my cracked heels. The best part? It’s super easy to apply and it doesn't leave any nasty residue. The downside is I made the mistake of not checking the label until I started itching a bit. Turns out I had a mild allergic reaction. After I stopped using it, the itching went away, but it’s a good reminder to always read those labels carefully!
