The drowsiness can be managed with caffeine. Just be careful not to overdo it. And always, always talk to your doctor if you have concerns.
I've been on this for years and it's been a lifesaver. The drowsiness is a small price to pay for the peace of mind. Just drink lots of water to combat the dry mouth.
I took Hydroxyzine once and felt like a zombie the next day. Never again. Maybe you should try a lower dose and see if that helps with the side effects?
I had a similar skin reaction and it turned out to be an allergic reaction. I stopped taking it immediately and talked to my doctor. Be careful and listen to your body!
Drowsiness is a bummer, but it's worth it for the anxiety relief. Just make sure to give yourself time to adjust to the medication. If it gets worse, talk to your doc.
I take Hydroxyzine before dental procedures and it works wonders for calming me down. Never had any side effects, but I only take it as needed.

I've had bad experiences with antihistamines in the past. I just try to avoid them if I can. Everyone's body is different, so what works for some might not work for others.
I've been on Hydroxyzine for a while now and haven't had any major issues. Maybe try taking it at night so the drowsiness isn't so bad during the day? Always good to talk to your doctor though.
