I've been prescribed Hysingla ER 80mg Tablets for severe and long-lasting pain, and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the side effects and risks. I understand it's an extended-release opioid, but how exactly does it work? Are there any tips for managing the side effects, especially the constipation and nausea? I've heard it's important to take it exactly as prescribed, but what happens if I miss a dose or take too much? Any feedback or assistance would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this new treatment plan.

I've been on it for a while now, and the constipation is the worst. My doctor recommended over-the-counter stool softeners and increasing my fiber intake. It helped a lot. Also, stay hydrated.

I took mine with food and it helped a lot with the stomach issues. Also, talk to your doctor about pain management techniques that can complement the medication. Physical therapy, for example, can do wonders.

For nausea, ginger tea worked for me. It might sound weird, but it really helped. Also, avoid taking it on an empty stomach. Eat something light before you take it.

Hysingla ER 80mg is a powerful medication, and it's crucial to follow your doctor's instructions precisely. Extended-release means it slowly releases the drug over 24 hours, which helps manage pain around the clock. Missed doses can be dangerous, so set reminders. Overdose is a serious risk, so never take extra doses. Remember, this drug can be addictive. I know someone who got hooked and it was a nightmare.

Be careful with this stuff. It's a strong opioid, and it can become addictive really fast. I'm not saying don't take it if you need it. But just be careful.

I hope you find some relief. My dad was on something similar, and it made a huge difference for him. Just be super careful with it. It's easy to get addicted.
