I'm scheduled for an X-Ray of my Digestive System tomorrow. Unfortunately, I've got 30ml of Gastrografin to prepare and drink tonight. I’ve heard mixed things about this stuff. Does anyone have any experience with it and can offer any tips for dealing with the taste and side effects? I also heard that it can cause severe allergic reactions. Should I be worried? Is there any way to ease the side effects? I’m nervous and would appreciate any advice or reassurance.

I had a really bad reaction to Gastrografin. I ended up with a rash on my face, it was so embarrassing. It cleared up the next day, but if you start showing any signs of an allergic reaction, get to the doctor right away. Don’t wait it out.

Watch out for the diarrhea, it can be pretty bad. Make sure you’re near a bathroom when you take it. I had to take it for an exam and it was a bit uncomfortable, but it was worth it to get the results.

I had to take Gastrografin for my X-Ray. It wasn’t fun, but it got the job done. The taste wasn’t great, and I did feel a bit dizzy, but it wasn’t too bad. I recommend having some antacids on hand in case of stomach issues.

I was so nervous about this stuff, but it turned out to be okay. Just drink it fast and chase it with something sweet. I didn't have any major side effects, just a bit of nausea. Stay hydrated and you should be fine.

I've had this before and it wasn't too bad. Just make sure to mix it with something sweet like juice to mask the taste. The side effects were mild for me, just a bit of dizziness. Drink plenty of water afterwards to stay hydrated.

I didn’t have any serious side effects, just some mild stomach cramps. It was pretty unpleasant, but it was over quickly. Just make sure you’re hydrated and you should be fine. It’s a necessary evil for these kinds of exams.
