I had some hair loss in the beginning, but my doctor said it's usually temporary. It stopped after a few months. Also, make sure to get your blood work done regularly to monitor your thyroid levels.
I gained a lot of weight before my diagnosis. Adthyza helped me get back to normal, but I still need to watch my diet. It isn't a silver bullet.
Adthyza can be tricky because it's all about finding the right balance. You might need to adjust your dose a few times before you feel just right.
Be careful with the dosage, it's very important! I took years to get mine right. My body is so sensitive that I can't take too much or I start having palpitations. Up your doses slowly if you can.
Watch for any signs of too much thyroid hormone in your system -- that can cause a lot of the same problems as having too little. I gained a lot of patience learning to recognize the signs and talk to my doctor about adjusting my dose.
