I was prescribed Ceftriaxone/dex 2gm Inj 50ml for a serious case of pneumonia and I'm curious if anyone else has had similar issues. The nurse said it would help clear up my infection, but I've heard that it can have some serious side effects. The injection itself wasn't too bad, but I want to know if anyone has experienced anything like severe stomach pain or allergic reactions that are mentioned in the possible side effects. Most importantly, I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with kidney problems or anemia. I'd really appreciate any insight or advice. Also, please share if you know any tips to avoid diarrhea and those other bothersome side effects

I've had Ceftriaxone a few times, and I've never had any problems. Just monitor yourself and call the doctor if you start feeling weird!.

Just make sure to finish your course of antibiotics, even if you feel better! And drink lots of water to help with the diarrhea.

Ceftriaxone kicked my severe infection, but the side effects are no joke. I got hives and swelling, ended up in the ER. Be careful,

I didn't have any major side effects, but I did get a nasty headache. Make sure to talk to your doctor if you do experience anything serious.

I had a bad reaction to it. I ended up in the ER with severe stomach pain. Turns out it was pancreatitis. Be careful, man.

I had severe back pain and it turned out to be a kidney stone. Not fun. Hope you're ok, though!

I had Ceftriaxone for a skin infection. It was rough, but the worst part was the diarrhea. Make sure to stay hydrated!

I had some pretty intense nervous system issues. Feeling extremely sleepy and sluggish. Be careful, and make sure it's really necessary.
