I've been prescribed Ibrance 100mg Capsules for my advanced breast cancer, and I wanted to share my experience. It's been a bit of a roller coaster, and I'm hoping to get some insights from others who have gone through this. Ibrance works by blocking the proteins CDK4 and CDK6, which help cancer cells grow and divide. I'm taking it along with another hormone therapy medicine, and so far, I've experienced some side effects like hair thinning and fatigue. I wanted to find out if anyone else has dealt with these issues and how they managed them. Also, I've noticed a few serious side effects mentioned in the documentation. Has anyone else experienced anything serious, or is anyone concerned about these risks?

I am really scared of the lung problems. Has anyone experienced that?

Please be careful with blood clots. My aunt was on this medication and she had some serious blood clots, and it was really scary. Make sure you're aware of the signs and symptoms and just talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.

I've been on Ibrance for 6 months now, and the hair thinning has been tough, but it's manageable. I use a gentle shampoo and I avoid heat stylers. I've also found that keeping a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables really helped to combat the fatigue. Be sure to talk to your doctor about what to eat to keep up your energy levels.

My doctor recommended that I get a lung function test before I started Ibrance, and they have been monitoring me closely. If you are worried, talk to your doctor about getting tested. It's better to be safe.

My doctor recommended I bring a friend or family member to appointments because there is so much information to take in. It's also a good idea to write down questions ahead of time and review the answers later. The more support, the better!

This thread is so helpful, thank you all for sharing your experiences. It's encouraging to see that others are going through the same thing and finding ways to manage the side effects. Let's keep this thread going for anyone who needs support.

It's strange, but I've noticed my sense of taste has changed a bit. Food doesn't taste the same, and I've had to adjust my diet. But it's a small price to pay if it means the treatment is working. Just be prepared to get creative in the kitchen!

If anyone has tips for dealing with the dry skin, I'm all ears. I've been slathering on lotion, but it's not really helping. It's not the end of the world, but it's pretty annoying.
