Ibuprofen 600mg Tablets are a common over-the-counter medication used to relieve pain, reduce fever, and lessen inflammation. As a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID), it works by blocking certain natural substances in your body that cause pain and inflammation. However, like any medication, it comes with a range of possible side effects, from mild to severe. Understand the risks and when to seek help.

Ibuprofen is a lifesaver for me during those flare-ups. It’s the only thing that works.

Definitely, I had a friend who had to stop taking it due to kidney problems. It's scary stuff. My doctor told me that long-term use can lead to serious issues, so I only take it when necessary and never for more than a few days.

I get confused, Ibuprofen is an NSAID. Do you have to worry about the same side effects as with something like Naproxen?

NSAIDs are generally similar with side effect profiles such as stomach issues, but Ibuprofen is generally more of a headache and stomach pain. I’ve taken it a few times but realize that you have to be cautious over long periods. I know someone who initially thought they were having a heart attack but it ended up being GI distress.

I've been taking Ibuprofen 600mg for my knee pain, it really helps, but I keep reading about these severe side effects. How common are they really?

Jokingly, what if you took Ibuprofen for a fever and it made your fever worse? A paradoxical effect of medicine.
