I've been on Icosapent Ethyl 0.5gm Capsules for a few months now, and I'm curious about others' experiences. I was prescribed it to help lower my triglyceride levels, and while it seems to be doing the job, I've had some side effects. Has anyone else experienced muscle pain or constipation? I'm also a bit worried about the more serious side effects listed. How common are they really? Has anyone had to deal with any of the urgent side effects? I'd love to hear from people who have been on this medication for a while. What are some effective strategies to deal with side effects? How do healthcare professionals recommend to balance diet or lifestyle for the most effective use?

I feel like the side effects are a small price to pay for the benefits. Seriously, talk to your doctor if you have any concerns. Just make sure you are taking it exactly as prescribed.

I think it's worth a shot. Just make sure to monitor your triglyceride levels regularly and keep an eye out for those serious side effects. Talk to your doctor about any concerns right away.

Unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover it well. I have to pay a significant amount out of pocket. Still, I think it's worth it for the benefits on my heart health and triglycerides. I'm hoping they make it cheaper soon though

Really considering trying Icosapent Ethyl. Does it work well with a low-carb diet? My doctor mentioned it'd be effective, but I wanted to get some real-world experience.

I’ve been on it for six months now, and while it did help lower my triglycerides, the constipation was brutal. I ended up switching to a different med to avoid that. That being said, I don't think you should stop taking it unless you get serious symptoms.
