I recently started treatment with Idamycin Pfs 5mg/5ml Inj, 5ml for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). It's been a tough journey, but I wanted to share my experience and hear from others who might be going through the same thing. Idarubicin is a powerful chemotherapy drug that is administered via injection into the vein. It's designed to stop cancer cells from growing and multiplying. The side effects can be intense, so it's crucial to stay informed and vigilant. I've experienced some hair loss and mouth sores, which are common but still challenging. I'm curious to know how others are managing their side effects and if there are any tips or tricks that have helped. The serious side effects list is lengthy, and it's important to know the symptoms to look out for, like signs of an allergic reaction, infection, or bleeding. Has anyone had to deal with any of these severe side effects? Let's support each other and share our experiences.

I've had some mild mouth sores and headache, but the doctors have given some great pain relief. The nurses are knowledgeable about side effects and have given pointers.

I've been on Idarubicin for a few months now, and the hair loss has been the hardest part for me. Any tips on dealing with it?

I've found that keeping a close eye on my skin has been crucial. The redness and irritation on the palms and soles of my feet can be really uncomfortable. Keeping them moisturized and wearing comfortable shoes has helped a bit.

I had a severe allergic reaction to Idarubicin during my first treatment. It was terrifying, but thankfully, the medical team was quick to respond. Always make sure you're in a clinical setting when you get the injection.

Have any of you experienced mood changes? I've been feeling really down lately, and it's hard to stay positive. It's so frustrating because I want to fight this as hard as I can.

This is a tough one. I've had a few scares with fever and chills, so I always keep a thermometer handy and call my doctor right away if I feel anything unusual.
