Ifosfamide Chemotherapy: My Experience with Ifex 1gm Inj and Mesna
I recently started my chemotherapy journey with Ifosfamide, specifically the Ifex 1gm Inj, along with Mesna to protect my bladder. I wanted to share my experience and learn from others who have gone through the same treatment. The process involves several days of injections, and while the side effects can be intense, knowing what to expect has made it a bit easier. Does anyone have tips on managing the side effects, especially the potential kidney problems and allergic reactions? I'm also curious about how others have handled the psychological aspects, like mood changes and depression. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I found that keeping a routine helped with the mood swings. I tried to keep my days structured and it made a world of difference.
I've been through the same treatment. The Mesna really helps with bladder irritation, but stay hydrated! Also, talk to your doctor about anti-nausea meds if you're feeling sick.
I'm so sorry everyone is going through this. Keep fighting, and remember, every day is a victory. You got this!
I agree with the above comments. The first few rounds were tough, but it gets a bit easier as your body adjusts. Keep a journal to track side effects and share them with your doctors.
I had a really hard time with the fatigue. It was like nothing I've ever experienced. Listen to your body and rest when you need to.
