I've just been prescribed Candesartan 4mg Tablets for high blood pressure. My doctor says it will help by relaxing my blood vessels and improving blood flow, which should reduce my risk of heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the urgent ones. Has anyone else taken this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. Also, are there any tips for managing the side effects if they do occur? I want to make sure I'm prepared. Looking forward to hearing from you all!

I've been on Candesartan for a few months now and it's been great for my blood pressure. I had some dizziness at first, but it went away after a couple of weeks. Just take it easy when you start and listen to your body.

Good luck with the new meds! Remember to take it at the same time every day for best results.

I had to switch from lisinopril to Candesartan 4mg and I had no idea what to expect. I was worried about all the severe side effects but I went through the list with my doctor and decided to stick with it. Thankfully, I've had no issues at all. I think being aware of the risks and knowing when to seek help made all the difference. Just start keeping a side effect log if you begin to notice something

What you've described is actually pretty typical. Medical professionals call it the onset of an “antihypertensive effect” which can cause some temporary dizziness.

Keep an eye on your potassium levels. I had to adjust my diet a bit to make sure I wasn't getting too much potassium.

My mum has been on Candesartan for years. She's had no real problems with it, but she did have a lot of dry cough with her previous medication so this is better!

I wish they'd warn you about the flu-like symptoms. I felt like I had a mild flu for the first week. It wasn't enough to make me stop taking it, though.

You'll be fine! I started Candesartan last year and after a few days of dizziness, I felt great and my BP was right where my doctor wanted it
