Imlygic 100,000,000 Pfu/ml Inj: My Experience with This Viral Melanoma Treatment
I've been undergoing treatment with Imlygic for my melanoma, and it's been an intense journey. The treatment involves injecting a modified virus directly into the tumors, which is designed to both destroy cancer cells and stimulate the immune system. I've had some interesting side effects, and I wanted to share my experience and hear from others who might be going through the same thing.
The injections themselves aren't too painful, but the side effects can be quite tough. I've experienced flu-like symptoms, fatigue, and some fever. My doctor told me about the potential for more serious side effects, but luckily, I haven't had any of those so far. I've made sure to report everything to my healthcare team, just in case.
One of the weirdest parts is thinking about having a virus injected into my body to fight cancer. It's a bit counterintuitive, but the science behind it is fascinating. I've been trying to stay informed about how it works and what to expect.
I guess that's what I'm looking for here — to connect with others who are going through the same thing. If anyone has tips on managing the side effects or just wants to share their story, I'd love to hear it!

I can’t believe it’s been a month since I started. Time flies when you’re fighting cancer, I guess. Keep strong, everyone!
What’s the deal with the tissue damage? My doctor mentioned it but didn't go into detail. Anyone know more about that? I'm a bit worried.
I’m really glad I found this thread. I just started treatment, and hearing everyone’s experiences is really helpful. Hope everyone’s doing okay!
I've had the same flu-like symptoms they say are common, but it's been tough. the fever has been the worst part.
I had a really bad reaction at the injection site — it was swollen and painful. My nurse said it's not uncommon, but it was still scary. Just wanted to put that out there for others to know they're not alone.
The worst part for me has been the mouth and throat irritation. I've been using some special mouthwash that my doctor recommended, and it's helped a lot. Definitely ask your doctor about it if you're having that problem.
I'm amazed by the science behind Imlygic. Using a virus to fight cancer is like something out of a sci-fi movie, but it's real and it's working!
Has anyone else had issues with their immune system being too active? I've been experiencing some weird skin reactions, and my doctor thinks it might be because my immune system is going into overdrive.
For anyone going through this, stay hydrated. It helps a lot with the flu-like symptoms. Also, rest as much as you can. Your body needs it to fight the virus and the cancer.
I had some really bad headaches after the first few treatments, but they've been getting better. Just wanted to share that things might get worse before they get better. Hang in there, everyone!
