I started taking Tabrecta 150mg Tablets a few months ago after being diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer with a MET exon 14 skipping mutation. I've been reading about the potential side effects, and I'm curious to hear from others who have taken or are currently taking this medication. How severe have the side effects been? How well does the medication work overall? Does anyone have advice on managing the side effects? I'm new to navigating this territory, so any experiences or insights would be appreciated.

It's a very hard drug to take. But if it does work, then it's worth it?

I've been on Tabrecta for about six months now, and while it's been tough, I'm glad I have it to fight this. The side effects have been challenging, especially the fatigue and upset stomach, but my doctor helped me manage them. I started taking smaller doses and doing some gentle stretching every day. I've seen good results, so it's definitely worth it for me.

For me, it’s been more about the constant fatigue. I can’t even power through a day without feeling completely drained. Has anyone found any way to cope with this?

Good luck, everyone. It really is a tough journey but knowing there are others out here going through the same thing helps. I have not had many side effects, but that could also be because I am on a low dose of other meds to help combat the side effects of Tabrecta. And better food and exercise. If you can, I recommend doing some research on alternative ways to combat the side effects.

Just started this medication and I'm already feeling the effects. The side effects are rough, but I'm hopeful that it will work. Will be tough to stick with, but I'll give it my best shot. The doctor says that it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Anyone have any suggestions for staying focused and positive during treatment?

That's a bummer to hear about the side effects. I've been lucky so far — mostly just some mild dizziness and occasional stomach issues. My doctor recommended eating smaller, more frequent meals, and it's helped a lot. Also, staying hydrated and avoiding spicy foods have been key. Just be honest with your healthcare team about what you're experiencing.
