I've been on Invega Sustenna for about six months now, and I wanted to share my experience. As someone who struggles with schizophrenia, the convenience of a once-monthly injection has been a game-changer. No more forgetting to take daily pills, and it seems to be keeping my symptoms in check. However, I've had some concerning side effects. I've experienced some weight gain and my nose and throat have been irritated. I've also had some dull headaches, but they've been manageable. I am curious if anyone else has had similar experiences or any tips. On the plus side, my thoughts and feelings feel more balanced, and I've noticed an improvement in my overall behavior. I'm also hoping that the long-term benefits will outweigh the side effects, but I'm eager to hear from others who have been on this medication. Has anyone else experienced anything similar, or does anyone have any advice?

Has anyone had any luck with managing the weight gain? I've gained 10 pounds since starting and my doctor is already talking about adjusting my dosage or switching meds.

I had some weird side effects, like excessive saliva production. It was gross but bearable. I think everyone's experience is different.

I hate that every medication comes with so many side effects. But for now, it's working better than anything else I've tried. Just wish I didn’t have to deal with the headaches.

I've heard that some people have trouble with the injection process itself. Has anyone had issues with that, or any tips for making it easier?

I had a really bad reaction to the injection site. It was so irritated and painful. I had to switch to a different medication.

Has anyone else experienced changes in mood or behavior? I've been feeling a bit more anxious lately, and I'm not sure if it's the medication or something else.

I'm glad you're finding it helpful, but be careful with the weight gain. I gained 30 pounds in the first three months and it was hard to control.

I've been on Invega Sustenna for about a year now, and while the weight gain has been tough, the improvement in my symptoms has been worth it. I'd recommend it to anyone struggling with schizophrenia.

I'm kinda surprised by how well it's working, honestly. I mean, the side effects are annoying, but I was pretty bad off before and this is helping a lot. It's worth it to me.
