I recently started taking Irbesartan 300mg Tablets to manage my high blood pressure and protect my kidneys due to type 2 diabetes. I've heard a lot about it, but I'm curious about others' experiences. Specifically, I want to know how others have handled any side effects and if there are any tips or tricks to make the medication more manageable. I've also been wondering about the long-term effects and how it compares to other medications like Lisinopril. Any insights or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone else notice that their skin gets really dry? I started using a heavy moisturizer and it helped, but I wish my doctor had warned me about this. Also, my doctor told me doing a daily stretch can help with dizziness.

Had a bit of a scare with this one. I was feeling weak and lightheaded, but it turned out I was just dehydrated. But I do have to be careful with what I eat and drink. Also, it would be nice to see some cheaper alternatives out there. I can't always afford the high prices.

Switched from Lisinopril to Irbesartan due to the cough. I didn't realize how bad it was until I stopped taking it. Irbesartan has been great. I can be a bit careful but its no big deal. Just get a good water bottle. I've actually seen some reviews online in a few places, they say it does not cause all those side effects but I feel like my experience is different.

This one really helped me. I tried Lisinopril before switching to Irbesartan, and the side effects were way worse. I had a bad case of that dry cough. This medication made me a bit dizzy at first, but it was nothing an extra glass of water with electrolytes couldn't handle.

I'm glad I found this thread. I've been on Irbesartan for a few months. It helps but I've been getting these weird heart palpitations. I don't know if it's related to the medication or not. I've been trying to get an appointment with my doctor but it is tough so I'm still waiting for an answer. Anyone else experience this?

I've been on Irbesartan for a few years now, and it's been a game-changer for my blood pressure. The dizziness was a bit tough at first, but it went away after a few weeks. My doctor advised me to change my diet and eat more potassium-rich foods to balance out. Worked like a charm!
