I've recently been prescribed Irbesartan/HCTZ 150-12.5mg tablets for my high blood pressure. I've read about the potential side effects, but I'm curious to hear from others who have taken this medication. What has your experience been like? Any surprising side effects or benefits? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any long-term effects or tips for managing side effects. I'm also wondering about the skin cancer risk. How serious is it, and what steps can I take to minimize the risk?

I had a really scary experience with this medication. I started getting severe chest pain and swelling. Turns out, I was having an allergic reaction. I had to go to the hospital, and they switched me to a different medication. Be really careful and keep an eye out for any signs of an allergic reaction.

I took this because I’ve been having some high blood pressure issues. The only downside is that there are some side effects. Other than that, it’s really helped with my blood pressure.

I've been on it for a couple of months and it’s really helped my blood pressure. The only side effect I’ve noticed is some fatigue. I just make sure to get enough rest and drink plenty of water. It's nothing major, and it's worth it for the health benefits.

I’ve been on it for a couple of months, and it’s been great for controlling my blood pressure. I did have some dizziness initially, but that went away. However, I do worry a bit about the skin cancer risk. Has anyone else experienced any skin issues?

I was on a different combo before and switched to this due to side effects. So far, so good! Just make sure you're monitoring your blood sugar levels regularly, especially if you have diabetes. Also, watch out for changes in vision.

Be mindful, if you're taking this medication, It's really important to follow your doctor's advice and get regular skin checks. I had to give up drinking coffee due to the side effects. But it’s worth it for the health benefits.

I was nervous about the side effects too, but my doctor assured me that they are rare. I've been taking it for a month and haven't felt anything out of the ordinary. Just make sure to drink plenty of water and avoid excessive exercise when you start taking this

I’ve had some dizziness and fatigue, but it’s not too bad. Just make sure you are careful with your diet and stay hydrated. It’s worth it to keep your blood pressure in check. I've also been really careful with sun exposure and regular skin checks.

I've had a pretty good experience so far. I did have some dizziness at first but that went away after a couple of weeks. Just be cautious about sun exposure and follow your doctor's advice.

I've been on this medication for about a year now. It's definitely helped with my blood pressure, but I did experience some dizziness at the beginning. It went away after a few weeks. Also, I've been extra careful about sun exposure because of the skin cancer risk. I wear sunscreen and a hat whenever I'm outside.
