I've been prescribed Furosemide 10mg/ml Inj, 4ml to manage my edema and high blood pressure. This diuretic helps my kidneys get rid of extra salt and water, which in turn reduces swelling and lowers my blood pressure. It sounds simple enough, but I'm worried about potential side effects. I've got a lot of concerns, especially about the serious ones like an allergic reaction, kidney problems, and even liver issues. I'd love to hear from others who have experience with this medication. How do you manage the side effects, and what tips do you have to make this treatment more comfortable? Also interested to know if anyone has had success with alternative treatments. Thanks!

Ugh, the constipation is real. It's like a side effect from hell for me. I've switched to a high-fiber diet and it has been helping a bit. But I'd rather not have to deal with it at all, you know?

Bottom line: Furosemide can be a lifesaver for edema and high blood pressure, but it's not without its challenges. Stay in touch with your doc and listen to your body. Easy to deal with extra bathrooms or water breaks compared to liver or kidney problems, agreed?

I've been on Furosemide for a few months now, and it's definitely helped with the swelling in my legs. But yeah, the side effects can be tough. I've had some dizziness and stomach upsets, but nothing too severe. Just make sure to stay hydrated and talk to your doctor if anything gets bad.

Anyone else have trouble with dry mouth? It's the worst. I've been chewing sugar-free gum to help, and it seems to work.

Just a heads up, if you experience any severe symptoms like dark urine or yellowing of the skin, get to the ER ASAP. Those are signs of liver issues, and they can be serious.

Not a fan of the headache. Been on it for a while and the headaches are the worst part for me.
