I've recently been prescribed Reeses Pin-Worm Med Susp 60ml for a pinworm infection. The doctor explained that it works by paralyzing the worms so they can be passed out of the body. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones like allergic reactions. Has anyone used this treatment before? How was your experience? Were the side effects manageable? Also, how do you ensure your child takes the full dose since it tastes horrible? Any tips on dealing with the unpleasant taste would be appreciated!

I had to treat my son with this. He was miserable and the worms were a nightmare. The medicine worked, but I had to mix it with chocolate syrup to get him to take it. Worst taste in the world.

I felt really bad giving it to my kid because it tastes so awful. But it did the job. Just follow the doctor's advice and you'll be fine.

I used this for my kids and it worked great! Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully. Mix it with something sweet to mask the taste.

I've had to use this a few times for my kids. It's awful, but it does the job. Just make sure to treat everyone in the house at the same time to prevent reinfection. Oh and wash your hands, everything. Anything that gets touched.

Sadly, I found out the hard way that these worms are incredibly contagious. After getting rid of them we found out that the entire family had to be treated since they can get reinfected so easily.

Why do pinworm treatments taste so bad? It's like the pharmaceutical companies are punishing you for being infected.

Allergic reactions are rare, but they can happen. Always good to be cautious, especially if you have a history of allergies. Make sure to have an epinephrine auto-injector on hand if you're prescribed this.

I had a really bad reaction to this stuff. I got hives and had trouble breathing. Had to go to the ER. Scary stuff. Definitely keep an eye out for those symptoms.

Just finished the treatment and it worked well. No side effects except for a bit of stomach cramps. Not too bad. Make sure to thoroughly clean everything to prevent reinfection.
