Has anyone on here started taking the Vitamin D3 2,000 unit capsules? If so, what are your thoughts? I've been hearing mixed reactions about whether this dosage is optimal. I've been taking it for a few months as recommended by my doctor, but I'm wondering if the benefits are worth the potential side effects. Has anyone experienced any issues or do you all love it? I want to ensure I'm making the best decision for my health, so any input would be greatly appreciated!

I've heard that taking Vitamin D3 with a meal that contains fat can improve absorption. Has anyone tried this? I'm considering it to see if it makes a difference in how I feel.

Be careful with high doses of Vitamin D3. My friend ended up in the ER with symptoms of toxicity. It’s not something to mess around with. Always consult a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement regimen.

My doctor prescribed these for me because I'm not able to get much sun exposure due to my job. I haven’t noticed any side effects, but my bone density scans have improved. Really glad I started taking them.

I agree with the concern about side effects. I take 2,000 IU, but I also monitor my Vitamin D levels every few months through blood tests. It’s crucial to make sure you’re not overdosing, especially if you’re getting some sunshine and eating foods with Vitamin D naturally.

I take it every other day because my doctor said that way, I get 1000 IU per day. It's working for me and I feel better.

I think it’s worth noting that Vitamin D deficiency is more common than people realize, especially in those who don't get much sun exposure. I've seen friends who swear by these supplements for improving their mood and energy.

I take 2,000 IU daily and I love it. I've never had any side effects. My doctor recommended it for bone health, and I'm sure it's helping. I think it's important to listen to your body and adjust your dosage based on how you feel as well.

I'm comfortable with 2,000 IU because my doctor recommended it and I've had regular check-ups. My Vitamin D levels were dangerously low when I started. For anyone considering it, I recommend talking to a doctor and getting blood tests regularly, no matter what dose you take.

Honestly, I think 2,000 IU is way too much for most people. I started with that dose and felt jittery and anxious all the time. I've since cut down to 1,000 IU and feel much better. I think it's important to get your levels tested first before jumping into high doses.

I've been taking 2,000 IU of Vitamin D3 for a year now, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my energy levels and overall well-being. However, I did experience some constipation initially, but it went away after a few weeks. I make sure to get regular blood tests to monitor my calcium levels and supplement with Vitamin K2 to ensure proper absorption and utilization of calcium. I recommend giving it a try under medical supervision.
