I've been prescribed Zenatane 30mg Capsules for my severe acne, and I'm really nervous about the side effects. I know it's supposed to be a powerful treatment, but the list of possible side effects is overwhelming. Has anyone else taken this? What was your experience like? I'm especially worried about the mental health side effects and the risk for pregnant women. It seems like there are a lot of trade-offs to consider. Can anyone share their story or advice?

I had a pretty good experience with Zenatane but you need to be prepared for the dryness. I used a lot of moisturizer and drank tons of water. I also had regular check ups and reacted to side effects quickly. Would do it again.

If you're going to take Zenatane, make sure to use 2 forms of birth control. The risk of birth defects is not worth it. Also, I found that switching to a non comedogenic moisturizer helped with the dry skin.

I've heard that you can take fish oil while on Zenatane to reduce side effects. Has anyone tried that?

For me, the worst part was the dryness. I felt like a lizard. But my skin has never been better, and I'm glad I did it. And the eye stinging was insane but that was more annoying than anything.

Be careful with the mental health side effects. My friend had to stop taking it because she started having severe mood swings and anxiety. She's much better off now, but it was a rough time for her.

Honestly, it depends on how bad your acne is. If it's affecting your quality of life, then it might be worth it. Just make sure to be very careful and monitor any changes in your body closely.

Is it really worth the risk? I've heard horror stories about people who had to switch meds because of the problems with Zenatane.

I had to stop taking Zenatane because it gave me really bad back pain. It was like nothing I'd ever felt before. Also, I've heard if you ever want kids you should at least wait a year for it to leave your system.

Did you know that Zenatane can also affect your eyes? I had some weird eye irritation and light sensitivity. My doctor said it was because Zenatane can dry out your eyes too.

I took Zenatane for a year and it was a game-changer for my acne. The dryness was awful, but nothing compared to the clear skin I had afterward. Just make sure to stay hydrated and use lots of moisturizer. Also, my dermatologist did regular blood tests to monitor for side effects, which was reassuring.
