Itchy After Using Dyna-Hex 4 Skin Cleaner Solution 4% - Anyone Else?
I've been using Dyna-Hex 4 Skin Cleaner Solution for a couple of weeks now, and while I love how it kills germs and prevents infections, I've noticed some itching after application. I'm not sure if this is normal or if I should be concerned. Has anyone else experienced this? I've checked the side effects list, and itching is listed as a possible side effect, but I'm not sure if it's worth contacting my doctor over. I've also experienced some dryness, but that's to be expected with any skin cleanser. I just want to make sure I'm not having an allergic reaction or something more serious. Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Switching to a different brand would be my suggestion. I saw my doctor after a few days of using Dyna-Hex and she suggested switching to Hibiclens and it worked for me.
You might want to give it a few more days to see if it goes away. My doctor told me to use soap and water after using the antiseptic. If it doesn't go away or gets worse, then definitely call your doctor.
Itching is a common side effect with antiseptics. Maybe try switching to an alternate brand?
When I was in the hospital after surgery. We had to use this antiseptic for a few days. My skin was super itchy and dry after we stopped. I used a lotion with aloe vera and it felt better.
Have you tried moisturizing the area? I've found that helps with the dryness and itching after using antiseptic solutions
I had the same experience with Dyna-Hex. I switched to Hibiclens, and it cleared up my issues. I also made sure to rinse thoroughly with water after applying the solution to avoid the skin irritation. My skin is back to normal now.
I've used Dyna-Hex for years without any issues. Might just be your skin reacting to it. Have you used any other antiseptic solutions before?
Dyna-Hex works great for me. I use it before surgery to clean the skin and never had any reactions to it.
