Hi all, I was recently prescribed Arimidex (Anastrozole) 1mg Tablets for my breast cancer treatment. I've done some research and understand that it works by lowering estrogen levels, but I'm really nervous about the side effects. Has anyone here taken this medication? I've heard mixed reviews about Arimidex. Some people say it's a lifesaver, while others had awful side effects. Keep a diary of how you're feeling. It might help your doctor adjust your treatment if needed.
Watch out for joint pain – that was a game-changer for me. I ended up switching to another medication because of it.
I had a really rough time with Arimidex. The joint pain and fatigue were unbearable. My doctor switched me to a different drug, and I feel much better now. It's important to communicate with your doctor if you're having a hard time.
I took Arimidex for a few years. Hot flashes were tough, but manageable. Stay hydrated and layer your clothes!
