I've recently been prescribed Kenalog-80 Inj 1ml Vial for my joint pain. The doctor said it's a steroid injection to reduce inflammation. I'm a bit nervous because I've heard about some serious side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this? What should I expect during and after the injection? How long does it typically take to feel the effects? I'm also worried about the potential side effects, especially the more severe ones. Did anyone have any side effects? Are there any tips for managing them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had Kenalog injections for my knee pain. It helped so much but I had a weird side effect. I kept getting really bad headaches. It was not what I expected. I thought I'd have something like a mild headache but it was really bad and I had to take something for it. It was not fun. I have to say it was worth it though. I'm glad I got it in the end.

I had a bad experience with this stuff. I developed a really bad rash and had to go to the ER. Just be careful and keep a close eye on any reactions. Be safe!

I had Kenalog injections for my knee pain. It took a few days to feel the effects, but it worked wonders. No side effects for me, but I did have some redness at the injection site that went away quickly. Just make sure to rest the joint afterwards and follow your doctor's instructions.

This is really helpful, thanks for sharing. I had no idea what to expect either. I am definitely going to ask my doctor about these side effects when I go for my injection. I want to make sure I know what to do if any of them happen to me.

I had Kenalog injections for my shoulder and they really helped with my inflammation and pain. I did experience some weight gain from the steroids and I found that eating smaller portions helped me manage it. Also, the fatigue and muscle weakness for me lasted longer than I expected. It was a real trial for me as I'm quite active. I had to take it easy for a while, which my doctor had not mentioned.

I'm glad you asked about this. I was prescribed the same thing and had no idea what to expect. Thanks for starting this thread!

I've had Kenalog injections for my ankle sprain and they did help but it did mess up my sleep schedule. I couldn't sleep at all for a few nights and it was really hard. I've never had any problems with insomnia before, so I didn't have any idea what to do. I ended up trying out a few teas and it helped me eventually sleep better. I didn't know it was a side effect until I looked it up.
