I've been suffering from heavy and irregular periods for a few years, and my doctor has prescribed Norethindrone 5mg tablets to help regulate my menstrual cycle and reduce some of the symptoms. I've heard it can cause some side effects, so I'm a bit nervous. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What was your experience like? What side effects, if any, did you encounter? How long did it take to see improvements in your symptoms? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Be prepared for some interesting side effects. I was literally glowing. It was literally like I was sunburned, but with no sun. I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror. It took at least a month, but I still liked it and it was worth it.

Just started these and I have not noticed any difference yet. My doctor told me I should give it a few months and I should be able to see a change. I will let you all know what I think in a few months.

Been on it for 6 months, and it's been a game-changer. No more heavy periods and my cramps are much more manageable. I did have some initial weight gain, but it stabilized after a few months. Just make sure to take it at the same time every day and don't skip any doses. Also, I made the mistake of googling side effects and almost freaked myself out. My doctor assured me I was safe if I didn’t have any unusual symptoms..

Just be sure to keep them in a safe place, you don't want to end up with a dog who has accidentally eaten your medicine. I learned that one the hard way.

How often do you actually have to take these meds? I mean, are there days of the month where you can take a break?
