I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism a few months ago, and my doctor prescribed Levoxyl 0.088mg (88mcg) tablets. I've been taking them for a while now, and while I've seen some improvement in my symptoms like tiredness and weight gain, I've also experienced some side effects that I wasn't expecting. I've noticed a bit of hair loss, which is supposed to be temporary, but it's still a bit worrying. I've also had some mood swings and trouble sleeping. Has anyone else had similar experiences with this dose? I'm curious to know how others are managing their side effects and if there are any tips or tricks to make this process smoother. Thanks!

I switched from generic levothyroxine to Levoxyl and noticed a big difference. Maybe talk to your doctor about brand consistency?

I'm on the same dose, and I haven't had any major side effects. Just stick with it; it might take a while to see the full benefits. I've noticed a big difference in my energy levels, though.

Hair loss was a bummer, but it did grow back. Just make sure you're getting enough iron and protein in your diet—it can help with hair health.

Tried every dose from 75mcg to 150mcg. 88mcg is a good dose for me.

Levoxyl is great, but it took me a while to find the right dose. Stick with it and work with your doctor. You'll get there.

I started on a lower dose and worked my way up. Maybe talk to your doctor about adjusting your dose? Sometimes it takes a bit of tweaking to get it right.

I wish I could just manage my moods. I'm on 88mcg and still feel like a zombie. I'm gonna talk to my doctor about increasing my dose.

I've heard of people having issues with the same dose. My dosage is higher but I don't mind as long as I feel better.

I've been on Levoxyl for years and initially had some hair loss too, but it stopped after a few months. Just be patient, and definitely talk to your doctor if it persists.
