Lacrisert 5mg Opthalmic Insert 60s has been a game-changer for my dry eyes. I've tried so many eye drops, but nothing seemed to provide lasting relief. Lacrisert is a small, rice-grain-sized insert that you place in your eye once a day. It slowly dissolves and releases a lubricating substance that helps keep your eyes moist and comfortable. I've been using it for about three months now, and I can't believe how much better my eyes feel. However, I did experience some short-term pain after inserting it the first few times, but it went away quickly. I am curious if anyone else has had a similar experience or any side effects? For some reason, I didn’t notice any changes in eyesight. Also, how does this compare to other treatments you've tried? Plusses and minuses? Does this actually work for as long as they say it does?

Lacrisert is great but you have to get over the initial weirdness of putting something in your eye. Once you do it’s not that bad though.

I’m amazed at how many people have never heard of this. I found it through a lot of trial and error. It was the last resort. Think this is worth a shot, a lot of us could be benefitting.

Does anyone know if Lacrisert is safe to use with contact lenses? I've been avoiding it because I wear them daily, but I'm desperate for something more effective than my current drops.

I had a weird tingling after using it for the first time but it went away. What are the odds of experiencing side effects?

I had no idea these inserts existed until my doctor recommended them. I'm glad I gave them a try—they've made a big difference. I am also using a humidifier at night that seems to pair well with the Lacrisert.
