I've just been prescribed Fluticasone/Salmeterol Inhaler 230/21mcg 120s for my asthma. I've heard it's quite effective but also has some serious side effects. Has anyone used it for both asthma and COPD? How did it affect your breathing? Also, I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the severe ones. I don't want to end up in the hospital. Is it common to experience these side effects? How do you manage them? Any tips would be appreciated!

This stuff can be a bit pricey. I lucked into a good coupon with my pharmacy. Do you know if there are any generic alternatives that work as well?

I've had no issue with this inhaler. It's done wonders for my asthma. I'll admit, the list of side effects is scary, but I haven't experienced any of them. Just follow your doctor's instructions and you should be fine.

I had a really bad reaction to this stuff. My doctor switched me to something else, and it's been a lot better. If you start feeling weird, don't hesitate to call your doc.

Be careful with this one. I had a friend who ended up in the ER because of severe breathing problems. He didn't have his rescue inhaler with him. Always keep yours handy!

I've been on this for a couple of years now, and it's been a game-changer for my asthma. I use it twice a day as prescribed, and it keeps my symptoms under control. Just make sure to use your rescue inhaler if you have sudden breathing problems. Also, always rinse your mouth after using it to avoid throat irritation.

Remember, this is a preventative medication, not a rescue one. Make sure you have your rescue inhaler with you at all times. It's saved me more than once!

I don't get why they don't make these things taste better. I mean, it's bad enough having to use an inhaler, but the taste is awful!

I've been on this for a while now, and it's been great for my COPD. I've had no side effects worth mentioning other than a bit of a sore throat sometimes, but that's manageable. My doc said it's a combo of a steroid and a bronchodilator, so it's a bit of a miracle drug for lung issues.
