I've been on Jadenu 90mg for a few months now to manage my iron overload due to frequent blood transfusions. It's been a rollercoaster, to say the least. The main thing I've noticed is the drastic change in my stool color - it's almost black now. I know this is expected, but it's still a bit unsettling. I've also experienced some stomach upsets and diarrhea, but nothing uncontrollable. I'm curious to know how others are managing these side effects. Have any of you had to adjust your dosage or switch to a different chelation method? Also, how do you handle the constant monitoring and blood tests? It feels like I'm always at the doctor's office. On a positive note, my ferritin levels are finally decreasing, so I know it's working. I just wish the side effects weren't so intense. Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone else feeling like they're on a constant rollercoaster with Jadenu? I mean it works, but the side effects, ugh!

My doc suggested taking Jadenu with food to reduce stomach upset. It's worked like a charm for me. Also, drink plenty of water to help with those occasional constipation issues. Keeping a food diary can help you pinpoint what might be causing the issues.

I used to get really bad rash from Jadenu. It was awful, but my doctor switched me to the pill form and it was a game-changer. No more rashes, but I do experience diarrhea a bit. Wouldn't recommend the pill form if you're okay with the tablets though. Always consult your doctor before switching forms!

I've had some really bad experiences with kidney problems. Always keep an eye on that!

I've been on Jadenu for a while and have noticed that my vision has been a bit off sometimes. It's been a struggle, but my doctor has reassured me that it's not permanent. Just something to keep an eye on.

I can attest to the severe skin reactions. I ended up in the ER with Stevens-Johnson syndrome. It was terrifying, and I had to stop taking Jadenu immediately. Please, if you experience any red, swollen, or blistered skin, seek medical attention right away. I was hospitalized for a week, and it was a painful recovery.

Jadenu has been a game-changer for me too. I started noticing improvements in my energy levels within a couple of months. Stick with it, the benefits outweigh the side effects.

Be careful with Jadenu and alcohol. I had a few drinks one night and ended up with severe stomach pain the next day. It was a wake-up call to avoid mixing the two. Always follow the guidelines closely and stay hydrated.

I had to switch from Jadenu to another chelation therapy because of persistent diarrhea. If you're struggling, don't hesitate to talk to your healthcare provider about alternatives. Everyone's body reacts differently, and there are other options out there.

I had a similar experience with Jadenu, but I also developed a rash. Turns out, I was allergic to one of the inactive ingredients. Make sure you're aware of all the possible side effects, including skin reactions, and talk to your doctor if you experience anything unusual.
