Junel FE 24 is a popular birth control pill containing ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone, with the last four pills added for your body to get some iron. I've been thinking of trying it, but I'm concerned about the potential side effects. There are a lot of them listed, including some very serious ones. Does anyone have personal experience with Junel FE 24? How have the side effects been for you? Any advice or warnings to share?

I switched to Junel FE 24 from another pill, and the transition was pretty smooth. I did notice some breast tenderness, but that went away after a month. The best part is that my periods are much lighter now, and I haven't had any breakthrough bleeding. I'm glad I made the switch!

I had the worst luck with this pill. The weight gain was brutal. I had to stop taking it.

I've heard some scary stories about blood clots and other serious side effects. Has anyone had any issues like that?

I had a friend who had to stop taking Junel FE 24 because she developed a severe allergy to it. She had hives and couldn't breathe. It was really scary. If anyone experiences something like this, go to the ER immediately!

I found that the iron in the last four pills actually helped with my fatigue. It was a nice bonus!
