Just finished my Azithromycin 500mg Tablets Tri-Pack. What are some common side effects to expect?
I've just completed my course of Azithromycin 500mg Tablets Tri-Pack for a respiratory infection. I felt better after a few days, but I stuck to the full course as prescribed. Now I'm curious about what side effects I might experience in the coming days, if any. I've heard that diarrhea is pretty common, but I'm also worried about some of the more serious side effects. Anyone else have experience with this med?

My friend got Stevens Johnson Syndrome after taking this. She had these terrifying blisters and peeling skin. She was in the ICU for weeks and have permanent pigmentation changes on her skin. I'm not trying to scare anyone, but it can happen.
Diarrhea is common with this med, but if it gets really bad or is watery or bloody, you should go to the ER. It could be C. diff, which can be serious.
I had some stomach upset and mild diarrhea, but nothing too bad.
I had this for a chlamydia infection and it did the job. Side effects were minimal for me, just a bit of nausea. Doctors are right when they say to take the full course even if you feel better.
Be careful with the severe side effects, like changes in hearing or eyesight. I had a friend who experienced temporary hearing loss after taking this medication. If you notice anything severe, get medical attention immediately.
