Just finished my course of Cephalexin 500mg - Anybody else experience nasty side effects?
So, I just finished a 10-day course of Cephalexin 500mg for a nasty ear infection. I've heard horror stories about side effects, but I wasn't too sure what to expect. Luckily, I didn't experience anything too severe but did have some stomach upset and diarrhea. I stuck it out and finished the course even though I felt better after a few days. Has anyone else had a similar experience, or did you have worse side effects? Also, what's the best way to manage the stomach issues while on this medication?

I had a friend who broke out in hives. that's when I realized how serious some of these side effects can be.
I had to take Cephalexin for a skin infection last year, and the diarrhea was brutal. Docs gave me some Imodium and told me to take a probiotic. Definitely trust me on this: do it!
I had a similar experience with stomach issues, but my doc recommended taking it with food, which helped a bit,
I've heard that Cephalexin can cause C. diff. Is that true, or is it just an urban legend?
I had a really bad reaction to Cephalexin last time I took it. I'll be sticking to other antibiotics from now on.
Did anyone experience joint pain? I had to stop taking Cephalexin because it was so severe,
Tbh, I've never had any issues with it, so I'm not sure how common these symptoms are. I guess it varies person to person?
I've had it a few times and it's always the same story: diarrhea for 24hrs and then I'm fine. Guess I'm lucky?
I had hallucinations with Cephalexin? I thought I was losing my mind, honestly. It was so scary, I had to stop taking it.
This is why I always have a healthy dose of skepticism when taking any new meds. You never know what you're getting yourself into.
