I just started giving my 5-year-old the G-Supress-DX Ped Drops 30ml for relief from a nasty winter cough. It's a combo of guaifenesin (for mucus), dextromethorphan (to stop coughing), and phenylephrine (for the stuffy nose). Any other parents out there used this or something similar? Curious to hear about your experiences, especially with side effects. The package insert mentions some urgent symptoms to look out for like allergic reactions, as well as dizziness and trouble sleeping. Fingers crossed my kid doesn't get any of that.

I used this on my kid last winter and it worked but I’ve had other remedies work better. Side note—my partner gave our some old OTC meds to our kid, and we got a lot of strange reactions.

My pediatrician recommended G-Supress-DX for my kid. I use it sparingly. My kid loves the frog drops and it helps. However, I've seen kids get very hyperactive on Dextromethorphan, so I'm not exactly thrilled it's one of the ingredients.

My kid had a reaction to the phenylephrine last time we used it. It made him feel jittery and restless all day. I'd recommend being cautious with this ingredient, as different kids react to it differently.

I rely a lot on a humidifier and steam for my kid’s congestion. I tried G-Supress-DX once and it made my child really jittery. Maybe I’ll stick with the natural stuff—there are a lot of pharma interactions that scare me.
