So, we just gave my 2-year-old the Vaqta 0.5ml IM shot for Hepatitis A today. The nurse said it was a routine vaccine, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. The pamphlet mentioned things like fever, upset stomach, and even some serious reactions. Has anyone else given this to their kids? How did they react? My kid seems a bit fussy right now, but I'm not sure if that's normal or if I should be concerned.

My kid had diarrhea for a day, but otherwise seemed okay. I guess they can't all be perfect shots, but it's better than dealing with hepatitis.

I had to go to the hospital the last time my kid got a shot. Now I worry every time about the side effects. But no worries this time!

Our pediatrician said it's normal for kids to be a bit fussy or sleepy after the shot. Keep an eye on any severe reactions, but mild ones should be fine.

I had no idea this vaccine had so many possible side effects. I thought vaccines were just a quick shot and you're done, but now I'm worried about my kid too.

How did the nurse give the shot? My kid hates needles, so I'm curious about the injection site. Arm or thigh?

My kid had a mild fever and was a little off for a day, but he bounced back quickly. Just make sure to keep them hydrated and comfortable.

I wouldn't worry too much unless you see any signs of an allergic reaction or extreme discomfort. My kid was back to normal the next day.

It’s all about the prep. Chat them up beforehand about how brave they are, and they’ll be less scared. Good job on getting the shot!

My little one had a small reaction where the shot was given, but it went away within a few hours. I think it's normal, but always good to check with the doctor.

It's tough when you see your kid uncomfortable, but these vaccines are important. Just be ready for a little extra cuddling and comfort for a day or two.
