Side effects are a concern, but I would rather deal with the side effects than the alternative. Naloxone is definitely a lifesaver!
I've had to use it once before. It's crucial to call 911 right away after administering the spray. The person came back to life almost instantly, but that doesn't mean you don't need medical help.

As far as I know, there aren't really any long-term side effects. It kind of just reverses the effects of the opiods and then leaves the body soon after. It's a temporary solution and the person needs medical assistance to recover fully and safely.
Yep. The high potency and rapid effect of fentanyl can be countered by naloxone if used early enough. This can also show up as seizures, so hold onto that knowledge to act accordingly.
