A few days ago, I got Dysport 300unit Inj, 1 Vial injections for my neck spasms. I'm really hoping this helps, but I'm also a bit nervous about side effects. I've read the common ones like headaches and muscle weakness, but what about the rarer, more serious ones? Has anyone else had this done? Any tips for recovery or things to avoid? Also, how long until I see results? I'd love to hear from anyone with experience with Dysport for neck spasms.

Keep ice packs handy, you might need them

Side effects are different for everyone. For the first time I had Dysport, I was a bit nervous, but it worked for me and I had no side effects besides the injection site being sore.

Watch out for any signs of allergic reaction. I had a friend who had a bad reaction to Dysport. She ended up in the ER with swelling and trouble breathing. It's rare, but it can happen.

I had problems with swollen eyes. It was actually really scary, but it went away after a couple of days. So make sure to keep an eye out for that too.

Will it feel like Botox?

I got Dysport for migraines and it was a game changer. I only had minor side effects. Just some muscle pain.

Just make sure to follow your doctor's orders. I had it done for neck spasms and I had to be really careful with my neck to make sure I didn't hurt myself. Also, I don't think it's too bad to take a nap. I took a long one and it helped me recover faster.

If you get a headache, Tylenol works pretty well.

Dysport is similar to Botox, both are made from botulinum toxin type A and work similarly. It's just a different brand and the dosage can vary. In my experience, Dysport is a bit stronger. But I would still say I’m glad I got it. It helped with my muscles stiffness in my fingers. It was actually pretty easy to recover from, but everyone’s experience is different.

I've had Dysport for my cervical dystonia. It works well, but yeah, it can take a bit to see results. Give it a couple weeks. As for side effects, I had some muscle weakness, but nothing serious. Just take it easy for the first few days and you should be fine.
