Just got Lidocaine 2% Inj, 2ml for a minor procedure. What should I expect?
I've just been prescribed Lidocaine 2% Inj, 2ml for a minor medical procedure to prevent pain. I've read about possible side effects, like allergic reactions and methemoglobinemia, but I'm still a bit nervous. Has anyone else used this? What was your experience like? Any tips on what to look out for or how to prepare?

I've heard stories about people getting really drowsy or dizzy. Just be prepared for that and don't plan on driving yourself home.
I had a nightmare experience with Lidocaine. Turns out I was allergic and it gave me hives. I could have sworn my skin was peeling of. I recommend talking to your doctor about your allergy history and if you experience anything weird at all tell your doctor, while its still minor.
Lidocaine is great for minor procedures. Just make sure to follow your doctor's instructions to the letter. And if you feel any weird sensations, let them know right away.
Don't freak out. The chances of severe side effects are low. Just keep an eye on things and you'll be fine.
I had it for a similar procedure. I experienced some numbness and tingling, but nothing too bad. Just relax and focus on the procedure. You'll be fine!
I had a friend who had a rare reaction to Lidocaine. He turned blue around the lips and nails. It was really scary, so pay close attention to any unusual changes.
