I recently got my first dose of the Engerix-B vaccine. I'm getting it to protect against Hepatitis B and I'm not entirely sure what to expect. The nurse said I might have some side effects, but she didn't go into much detail. I'm looking for some insight on what to expect and how to deal with any side effects. I've read the typical ones like pain at the injection site, dizziness, and a mild fever, but I'm also curious about the more severe ones. How common are they, and should I be worried? I want to be prepared. Any personal experiences or tips from those who have gone through this would be greatly appreciated!

Had a slight fever after mine, but it passed. Drink plenty of fluids and rest. You'll be fine!

I got mine a few weeks ago and had a bit of pain and redness around the injection site, but nothing too bad. Took some ibuprofen and it was fine.

I just had my third shot today. Always a bit of soreness but nothing to worry about. Just make sure to take it easy for the rest of the day.

I'm guessing you have to get more shots for full protection? I heard it's a series of 3 or 4.
