I recently received my first Trivisc injection to treat osteoarthritis in my knee. The injection itself was fairly straightforward, but I'm curious about what others have experienced. How long did it take for you to notice any improvements in pain or mobility? I'm also interested in hearing about any side effects you might have encountered, especially the more severe ones. My doctor mentioned some potential issues with the injection site, but I'd love to hear about real-world experiences. Additionally, if anyone has tips on managing any discomfort post-injection, I'm all ears!

If it gets too bad with the pain, talk to your doctor. I had to do the injections on both knees. It was a bit of a pain to deal with but the pain reduction was worth it.

How long did you have to wait between injections?

Be prepared for some stiffness after the injection. I found that gentle range-of-motion exercises really helped ease that. I also took over the counter pain meds for a couple of days. As for the side effects, I had a little swelling after the first shot, but it went away fairly quickly.

I'm on my second round of Trivisc injections and I've noticed a big difference in my knee pain. I can walk easier, and some of the stiffness has gone away. I did have a bit of swelling and redness at the injection site, but it went away after a couple of days. I'm really glad I gave it a try.

I've found that Tirvisc is worse than cortisone injection. The pain lasted for 10 days, instead of 3 days for cortisone. But if you have advanced bone on bone osteoarthritis, it can make a difference. But don't expect much if your joints are not that bad.

I've had three Trivisc injections so far, and I can definitely say it significantly improved my mobility. It took about a week for the first injection to start making a difference, but the benefits built over time. The side effects were minimal for me—just some redness and slight discomfort at the injection site. Nothing too bad. I also noticed that keeping my knee elevated and using an ice pack helped a lot with the initial discomfort.

My mother had the injection and she said it wasn't as bad as she expected, but she's not thrilled about having to go back for more. She said the side effects were pretty minimal, though.
