I just got my Prevnar 13 vaccine today and I'm curious about what side effects I might experience. I know it helps protect against serious infections, but I've heard mixed things about how it affects people. Some friends said they felt nothing, while others complained of significant discomfort. Is it common to feel really tired or get a mild fever? Any tips on how to manage these side effects would be appreciated. Also, I'm a bit anxious about the more serious side effects. Should I be worried, or are these very rare like the doc said?

My kid got pretty irritable and had a hard time sleeping the night after. It was rough, but it passed within a day. Just stay calm and know it’s temporary.

I had no side effects at all. My arm was a bit sore for a day, but that's it. It's always good to stay hydrated if you feel any discomfort. Also, check with the doctor if the side effects persist for longer than a few days.

Feeling a little pain at the injection site is normal, just apply some ice and elevate your arm. Serious side effects are rare, so don't worry too much! Remember, it's all for the good.

Had a mild fever and chills for a couple of days, but it was manageable. Just took some over-the-counter meds and rested. Definitely worth it for the protection, though! Plus, the doc said it's normal for some people to have a bit more discomfort.

I got a lot of muscle and joint pain. It was a bit tough to move, but it went away after a couple of days. Just make sure to stay hydrated and rest if you can. Use a heating pad to help with the muscle pain.

I got Prevnar 13 three weeks ago and experienced nothing at all. I was worried at first, but everything was fine!! No pain, no fever, nothing. I feel lucky that I didn't experience any side effects.

I hate shots and was really worried about this one, but it's been fine. Just a bit of redness at the injection site. Feeling pretty okay overall though.

I was really nervous but ended up being fine. Just remember, the serious side effects are really rare. If you feel anything *super* weird though, go get it checked out. Better safe than sorry!

I got mine a few weeks ago and had a mild headache and felt a bit tired, but it went away after a day. Nothing to worry about! Plus, it's better than getting pneumonia, right?
