I just got my Prevnar 20 vaccine shot today. I know it helps protect against some serious infections, but I'm not sure what to expect in terms of side effects. Has anyone else gotten this vaccine recently? What was your experience like? I've read that some people don't have any side effects at all, while others might experience things like pain or swelling at the injection site. I'm also a bit concerned about the more serious side effects, but I know they're rare. I'm just curious to hear from others who have gone through this. Thanks in advance!

I got this vaccine for my child who was premature. The doctor told us to watch for any unusual signs, but so far, we haven’t had any issues. Just be proactive about knowing what to look for. It's good to hear from others who have been through this. Thanks for sharing your experiences and helping keep us informed!

I had heard about the allergic reactions and was a bit nervous, but fortunately, I didn't experience any of the urgent side effects. Just a bit of swelling at the injection site. Would get it again in a heartbeat for the protection.

I'd be curious to know how long the injection site pain lasted for others. I'm on day 2 and it's still pretty sore.

I had some redness at the injection site and experienced a mild headache for a couple of days. Other than that, no major issues. It's worth it for the protection it provides!

I had a mild fever the day after getting it, but it went away quickly. Overall, I'd say the benefits of getting vaccinated outweigh the minor side effects. It's better to be safe and protected!

My mom got the same vaccine and it helped her avoid meningitis. She had some muscle pain but it was gone in a couple of days. Definitely worth the shot, especially during flu season. I took one for the team and got my flu shot, too. I'm double protected.

I work in a hospital and we have seen a few patients experience headaches and muscle pain. It's the most common complaint for this vaccine from what we can see. Everyone seems to recover pretty quickly. The good news is that we haven’t seen any of the serious side effects mentioned, and overall, the vaccine has been really helpful in protecting against serious infections.

I got mine a few weeks ago and had a bit of soreness at the injection site, but that was it. Nothing too bad, definitely worth getting!
