I recently got the Shingrix vaccine. I'm curious to know what others have experienced. The nurse said it might be a bit uncomfortable for the first 24 hours. She also mentioned that I should keep an eye out for any severe side effects the next few days. Has anyone else gone through this? How did you manage the side effects? I'm really curious to hear about everyone else's experience. I have to admit, I'm a little nervous about the potential side effects, so I'm looking for some good experiences that will ease my anxiety.

If you're over 50, you should absolutely get this vaccine. Shingles is no joke, and we need to protect ourselves as we age. I had some minor muscle pain after mine, but it was worth it to avoid the risk of shingles.

I got the vaccine last month. I had a pretty bad headache and some muscle pain, but nothing I couldn't handle. The nurse told me that the side effects usually only last a couple of days, and she was right. It’s a small price to pay for the peace of mind knowing I’m protected against shingles. I took some Tylenol and rested, and I was fine by the next day.

I think I'm going to get Shingrix soon. Do you know how much it costs? I have insurance so I just need to know if I should expect to pay anything out-of-pocket. Thanks in advance.

I've heard horror stories about the side effects, but I also know people who felt nothing at all. I guess it really varies. Just make sure to report any severe side effects to your doctor or the VAERS system. Better safe than sorry.

I got mine a few weeks ago and had zero side effects. Feels like I wasted the shot. But I guess if it works, it works, right?

Can you drink alcohol after getting the Shingrix vaccine? I’m not sure if it will worsen the side effects or not.

I got mine last week and felt like I had the flu for a couple of days. Lots of muscle pain and fatigue, but it was manageable with some rest and ibuprofen.

I had a friend who got Shingrix and had no side effects at all. Everyone's different, though. I'd say just take it easy for the next few days and see how it goes!
