I was just prescribed Gamastan S/d Inj, 10ml after a potential exposure to Hepatitis A. I've never had to take anything like this before and I'm not sure what to expect. The doctor mentioned it's a shot that helps boost my immune system, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. Has anyone else taken this, and if so, what was your experience like? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had a bad reaction to this once. It gave me a rash and I couldn't stop itching. If you start feeling that way, get to the doctor ASAP!

I had to take this when I was traveling in a high-risk area. It was a bit uncomfortable, but it worked well for me. Just make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your doctor's advice.

I'm glad you're being proactive about this! I went through something similar, and the shot gave me a bit of a fever, but it went away quickly. Just monitor your symptoms and you'll be fine.

I'm not a doctor, but I had a friend who was prescribed this. She said it was pretty easy, but she felt really tired for a couple of days, and had a bad headache. It might help to rest up afterwards.

Did your doctor mention if you are at a higher risk for a bad reaction? I mean, this is made from donated blood so you never know.

I know someone who took this and they said it was no big deal, but they did mention making sure to report any symptoms to the doctor right away.
