I've just been prescribed Lincomycin 300mg/ml Inj, 10ml for a serious bacterial infection. I've never heard of this antibiotic before, and the side effects list is a bit scary. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, good or bad, and any tips for managing the side effects. Also, it seems like this is usually injected into a vein, so any insights on how that feels or how to manage the injections would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I was prescribed Lincomycin a few years ago for a severe infection. It worked pretty well, but the side effects were tough. I had some dizziness and stomach issues, but nothing too severe. Just make sure to stay hydrated and take it easy for a few days. Also, keep an eye out for any signs of an allergic reaction—they can be serious.

You should be able to find some good information on managing the side effects on the FDA website. They have some helpful resources for patients. Also, don't forget to report any side effects you experience—they keep track of that stuff and it helps others in the future.

I'm just curious, how long were you supposed to be on Lincomycin for? My doctor gave me a 10-day course for an infection I had and I was cautious about any of the side effects but nothing untoward happened. The stomach pain was the only side effect I got and it wasn't too bad.

I had Lincomycin for a bad staph infection. It knocked it out but gave me some really nasty dizziness. Make sure you aren't driving or doing anything that requires a lot of balance.

Just got my first dose of Lincomycin. Fingers crossed for minimal side effects. I'll report back if anything bad happens.

I had a severe allergic reaction to another antibiotic once, so I was really cautious with Lincomycin. I made sure to keep my doctor updated on any symptoms and luckily, I didn't have any issues. It's always better to be safe and informed.
