Just got prescribed Penicillin G Potassium 20mu Inj. Has anyone here had experience with it?
I've been prescribed Penicillin G Potassium 20mu Inj, 1 Vial for a serious bacterial infection. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the severe ones. Penicillin is great at knocking out infections, but it's not fun to go through. Just remember, everyone responds differently to medication. You might have no issues, but it's good to be prepared for the worst.
Be careful with this one. I had a friend who had a severe allergic reaction. It's rare, but it happens. Make sure you're in a place where you can get help if you need it.
Why are so many people talking about diarrhea? I didn't have any issues! But I did get a rash, and luckily I was at the hospital and they caught it in time. Just make sure you're monitored when you take this.
I work at a pharmacy and we see a lot of people on this medication. The most common complaint is stomach upset. We usually recommend taking it with food if you can, and using an anti-nausea medication if necessary. Don't hesitate to ask your doctor if you need something like that.
