Hello everyone, I've been prescribed Sensorcaine Mpf 0.25% Inj for an upcoming surgery. I've read that it's used to numb a specific part of the body and works by blocking nerve signals, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. Has anyone had personal experience with this medication? How was your experience? I'm particularly worried about the rare but serious side effects like methemoglobinemia or acidosis. Any advice on how to manage these risks or what to expect during recovery would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Make sure you know the signs of allergic reactions. I had a friend who had a severe reaction and it was terrifying. They caught it in time, but it was close.

My mom had a procedure and she managed to get a Spinal epidural headache. It took weeks to feel right again. I had some bad experiences with spinal-related side effects.

I had Sensorcaine for a spinal block during a C-section. It worked well, but I did feel some numbness and tingling for a few hours post-op. Nothing too bad, though. Stay hydrated and listen to your doctor's advice.

You should speak to your anesthesiologist or surgeon about the risks. They can explain how it works, and what to expect. They can also answer your questions and help put your mind at ease.
