I've been dealing with dry mouth for a while now and my dentist recently prescribed Sod Fluor 5000 1.1% Pst. I've heard it's great for strengthening teeth and preventing cavities, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. Has anyone else used this? What was your experience like? I'd love to hear some tips on how to manage any potential side effects or just general advice on using this toothpaste.

Oh goodness, I had a horrible experience with this stuff. The metallic taste was so bad and it only got worse when I started brushing my teeth morning and night. Had to stop after a week and go back to my regular toothpaste. I just can't deal with that taste.

I'm glad I found this thread. I'm about to start using Sod Fluor 5000 1.1% Pst and was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to manage the taste. Any recommendations?

I've been using Sod Fluor 5000 1.1% Pst for several months now, and it's significantly improved my dental health. I experienced a bit of a metallic taste initially, but it went away after a few days. I rinse thoroughly and use a small amount, which seems to help.

Be careful with this stuff. I had a really bad allergic reaction the first time I used it. Swelling, hives, the works. Had to go to the ER. Definitely talk to your doctor if you experience any of those symptoms.

I didn't have any side effects except for a bit of stomach upset in the first few weeks. Just make sure to rinse thoroughly and spit it out completely. I brush my teeth twice a day and use a fluoride mouth rinse in addition to the toothpaste. It's a bit strong, but it's worth it for the dental benefits.

I never had any side effects which was a relief. I actually like using the fluoride, helps to know it's working. Just don't swallow it. Use a small amount, rinse, and spit it out. Works well with hydrating mouthwash, too. Toothpaste can be tricky to get used to because of the taste, but it's nothing too bad to use.
