Hey everyone, I just got the Abrysvo RSV vaccine a few hours ago and wanted to know what others have experienced. I'm curious about the side effects and how long they lasted. I'm 65 and figured it's a good way to stay healthy this coming winter. I've heard RSV can be a big problem for older adults and newborns. The nurse said it was a simple injection but I'm feeling a bit tired now.

You should feel fine in a day or two, but don't worry if you feel extra tired. I had to spend a couple nights on the couch because I was so wiped out.

I'm 55 and don't live with any kids so i didn't get it. Would you recommend it for someone who doesn't have kids or grandchildren? We're not around babies that often.

There was a study released in 2020 that was looking for abrysvo to help with COVID-19. It didn't work. Now it's back to be a RSV vaccine that could be a good way to keep RSV out of a nursing home. I think it could be worth it to visit someone and get it.

Make sure to stay hydrated and avoid alcohol for the first 24 hours after getting the shot. And check the injection site every now and then, just in case there is a reaction.

I got the vaccine and started getting dizzy and faint... I just took aways a couple of days and it should go away. I just wish I had had a few days to rest before I did anything.

I got the vaccine during my third trimester and it 100% helped my newborn fight off RSV. If I had to do it again, I would. Wait till you have some time to rest, especially if you have other kids to care for, you may be more tired than you think.

I had some crazy dreams last night, like I did when I got the shingles vaccine. I had a headache and some muscle aches, but nothing too bad.

I got the vaccine and hospitalized with another problem the next day. I was waiting for side effects, but I was not ready to be in the hospital. Turns out the vaccine didn't cause it, but it was still a shock.
