I just got the BCG vaccine for my 6-month-old. The pediatrician mentioned it would help protect against TB, especially the severe forms that can affect children. I've read about some potential side effects, and I'm a bit worried. Has anyone else gone through this? What were your experiences with side effects? I want to be prepared for anything that might come up.

Be prepared for some flu-like symptoms. My baby had a low-grade fever and was a bit fussy for a couple of days. It was manageable with some TLC and a bit of infant Tylenol. Make sure to report any severe symptoms to your doctor right away.

I wish they wouldn't push so much for vaccines. What's the point of giving it to babies if it doesn't guarantee immunity?

Make sure to keep the injection site clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to any irritants.

I got the BCG vaccine as a child and had no issues. I think it's important for kids to build immunity against TB. Just be prepared for some minor side effects. I would recommend you read all the information you can find so you know what to expect and can act accordingly.

The BCG vaccine is pretty common in many parts of the world. My kid got it, and she only had a little red bump at the injection site. It went away after a few weeks. Just keep an eye out for anything unusual, and you should be fine.

My nephew had a severe reaction to the BCG vaccine. He developed skin ulcers at the injection site. It was really concerning, but his parents were quick to get medical help. Turns out it was an allergic reaction, and he needed some special treatment. It's rare, but it's something to be aware of.

My son had a small red bump at the injection site, but it resolved in a few weeks. He didn't have any other side effects. I think it's worth getting the vaccine to protect against TB.

I don't think it is a good idea to get BCG. My father got it and was sick for weeks.

I had the BCG vaccine as a child, and I remember having a high fever for a couple of days. It was pretty scary at the time, but my parents said it was normal. Just make sure to monitor your child closely and consult the doctor if anything seems off.

I was really anxious about the BCG vaccine. I did a lot of research and talked to my doctor. It helped a lot. My child ended up having a minor reaction, but everything was fine. Just be informed and prepared.
